An open letter to a purse thief

I’m writing this to say thanks to the gray-haired grandmotherly looking woman who found the purse I accidentlaly left behind at Tampa Internatinal Airport on Sunday.  It was nice of you to explain to the others that watched you find it that you were going to take it to the information desk so that it could be properly returned to me.

Unfortunately, I guess you were unable to locate the desk and instead deposited it in the trash can in the ladies restroom.  Thanks too for removing all of my cash and change. And since you now have my camera too, I hope you enjoy the priceless photographs that my husband and I took on our honeymoon cruise we had just returned from in the Caribbean.

Since you also have my driver’s license, you’ll note that my birthday is this week.  Thanks also for letting me celebrate by renewing all of my canceled credit cards. It sure makes me feel good to know that after visiting four foreign countries and being fearful and insecure for my personal safety, that I’m back home in the wonderful United States where I can finally feel safe again.

In closing, it is my sincere wish that your children or grandchildren do not have a similar situation happen to them in which a “good” Samaritan like you helps them out like you did to me.

DEMOCRAT PLAN TO PAY FOR OBAMACARE

AINT NOBODY USIN THEIR AFFIRMATIVE ACTION STATUS TO GET A SEAT IN THE SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS.

When I first saw this thread I thought it must be about the Democrat plan to pay for Obamacare. Snatch purses, etc.

Mayor, Do You Believe We Democrats would Make---

Mayor, do you believe we, Democrats, would
make more money for our party by panhandling
or snatching purses? According to the St.
Petersburg Times reporter some panhandlers
make as much as $80.00 to $l20.00 a day!
How much do you believe a purse-snatcher
would get a day? How many purses a day would
he have to snatch to reach $80. to $l20. a day?
Are you a purse snatcher, Mayor? Perhaps, you
are a professional looter? Oh, I'm sorry you write
40 word horror stories. Seriously, Obama plans
to raise the income taxes on all Americans who
make $250,000. a year or more. I guess
panhandlers, looters and short, horror story
writers do not have to worry about their taxes
being increased. Men and women who are
making obscene MILLIONS out of our current
seriously flawed health system are worried AND
THEY SHOULD BE!!! God bless.

Mayor Likes 360-Years-old Affirmative Action for Rich White Men

Mayor of Moronia prefers the kind of 360-years-old affirmative action for rich, white, propertied and possessing class males which prevailed in the United States of America from about 1607 up through 1967-1973.  In the South and other parts of the country, where black people were concerned, it was called, racial segregation of black people, no equality for black people in hiring, firing, employment, admissions to colleges and schools, deliberate subjugation and keeping of black people and other nonwhite people out of every avenue of life white males had, for many centuries not even a right to be considered citizens, no right to vote.  With women, it was called, the glass ceiling, no equality in pay and hiring, no equality in rights in employment, in child care, for many centuries not even the right to vote.

That's called, "affirmative action" for rich, white, propertied and possessing class males.

That's the kind of "affirmative action" Mayor of Moronia likes.

LARISSA IS TOO SELF ABSORBED

AINT NOBODY USIN THEIR AFFIRMATIVE ACTION STATUS TO GET A SEAT IN THE SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS.

The old woman prob'ly needed your money to donate to the Democrats or Uhuru's or Scientologists. The Old Hen may be a local county commissioner who needs the cash to augment her austere pay, DROP money, and gratuities from regulated industries and professionals. So many of them are on the road so often they may be construed as homeless, and stinginess with the homeless is pretty pathetic and low.

Mayor, If the Old Purse Snatcher Really Wants To---

Mayor, If the old purse snatcher really wants to help a church she should donate the money to the Catholic Church. I just read recently in the St. Petersburg Times that the Catholic Church had to close l3 of their churches in the Miami area. I guess the church is still reeling from the scandal of Bishops transferring priests who were sexually molesting children from one parish to another parish instead of turning these vicious rapists to the police as a good Christian would. I was married to a Baptist for 35 months and I can honestly state that many Baptist Chirstians I met in this time were not very Christian at all. Hell, I am not a Christian and, yet, I AM MORE Christian than most of them WILL EVER BE. God bless.

Humanity and tampa bay

Really sad people are the way they
are.  What i don't understand though is  TPA has security cameras set
up all over the place. Is security to lazy to be bothered reviewing
incident and obtaining a picture of the theif as i am sure they would
be if you were of notoriety. Then they would get press and how they
took the time to assist you in finding the dirtbag.

Really does not come as shock to me though since Florida has become
on giant crime pool in last few years. Like many others i moved  here
from new york 20 some years ago to get away from the crime. But i think
criminals had the same idea after they found out they can get away with
almost anything here. Now crime here worse then new yorks could ever
be, since at most "we'll only get probation, big deal." Instead of a
punishment it is used as a way of generating money into the system
because have to pay every week when on probation.  And if don't have a
job, well hell lets just steal it. So it is a circle game with the
system making out and john q public paying the price. And before you
debaters try to make a point, look up the facts.  Got to http://mugshots.tampabay.com/
everyday like i do and look at the scum added daily and charges. Then
after their trials look at what they are sentenced.   Amazing huh.....

Only way it will ever change is when citizens vote the judges in not
by what party they belong to or political clout they have. And
definitely not by the promices they make because once elected the
promises go right out the window. Instead go by their reputation, what
they have done to prosecute to fullest extent of the law criminals,
especially repeat offenders.  Do away with paying while on probation.
Instead make them work !  Instead of a year probation make them do
community service for that year some way or the other.

Adopt a highway.....ha ha ha.  Why should anybody do that or pay for
the maintenance when there are thousands of criminals that should be
doing it. Beaches would be most pristine in the world if probation
servers had to maintain them. But alas...can't generate money for
system that way.

Only other solution i can see is to do like i am and moving away and
letting the criminals have it. Won't be to long before area is same as
nazi germany.  Going to find a nice small community where the public is
served. May not be a perfect Norman Rockwell town but at least won't
have to open paper to see daily horrors seen everyday here.

Sorry about loss of the memories and what should of been a happy time of your life turning sour. Wish it had a happier ending.

Larissa, I lost my Wallet About 30 years ago in Md.

Larissa, I lost my wallet about 30 years ago in Md. The wallet must have fallen out of my pocket at a Mall store in a parking lot and it probably fell out of the car when I exited the auto. When I came out of the store, I noticed a young man in his car parked next to my auto and he was counting money. I discovered an hour later that I had lost my wallet and the young man was counting MY MONEY. I had about $l60.00 in the wallet along with my credit cards, driver's license and, also MY NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER. It never was returned to me. As far as I am concerned the young man was a CROOK. I found a wallet about 2 years ago in my Publix store. It had $222.00 in it. It, also, had the name and address of the owner. I returned it to him. I am honest. Just as Richad said, "I am not a crook." I,also, AM NOT A CROOK. Hey, come to think of it, Pres. Nixon was not a crook--HE WAS A BURGLAR (WATERGATE). I am not a burglar either. God bless.

I Believe It Was Shakespeare Whe Said, "Who steals My Purse-----

I believe it was Shakespeare who said, "Who steals my purse steals trash." Not so Biilly, Baby. I wish I had trash in my wallet instead of $l60.00. I recently and stupidly left my umbrella in a shopping cart when I went to the bathroom in my local Publix. When I came out of the bathroom the cart and my unbrella were gone. I reported this to the local Publix manager. He knows me quite well as I walk three miles in his store every day. He keeps complaining about all the food that is stolen is his store EVERY DAY. The hell with the food. What I want to know is how many unbrellas do they steal a day during our current monsoon season? God bless.

Well Larissa

I don't know how you could of possibly left your purse behind but I guess such things happen. In any case I doubt very much if the finder will ever read your letter or say your welcome.

As far a feeling safe back home in the United States, you must live a very sheltered life. I doubt you will ever leave your purse behind again!Wink
